The Optimum Big Red Sponge™ 2.0 (BRS 2.0) is a professional-grade Made in USA wash sponge designed to make rinseless and traditional car washing safer, faster, and more comfortable.

Made in the USA using the same proven porous foam as the original Big Red Sponge, BRS 2.0 features an updated cut pattern for improved grip, flexibility, and handling. Its oversized 7" × 5" × 3" design holds a large amount of wash solution, helping maintain lubrication across the surface while reducing the need to constantly reload your wash media.

Both sides feature a deep cross-cut design that creates channels to help pull dirt and contamination away from the paint, reducing the potential for wash-induced marring when used with proper washing techniques.

Originally developed for rinseless washing, the Big Red Sponge 2.0 works exceptionally well with Optimum No Rinse (ONR) and other Optimum rinseless wash solutions, but it can also be used with traditional car wash soaps.

How to Use

1. Prepare your rinseless wash or traditional car wash solution according to the product directions.
2. Fully saturate the Big Red Sponge 2.0 in the wash solution.
3. Gently wash the vehicle one section at a time using light pressure.
4. Periodically return the sponge to your wash solution and squeeze or agitate it to release accumulated dirt.
5. Continue around the vehicle, keeping the sponge well saturated with solution.

For rinseless washing, pair with Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine (ONR) for the complete Optimum wash system.

Maintenance & Cleaning

After use, rinse the Big Red Sponge 2.0 thoroughly with warm water and Optimum Power Clean or dish detergent. Work the cleaner through the sponge by repeatedly squeezing it until dirt and soap residue have been removed and the sponge no longer produces foam.

Rinse thoroughly, squeeze out excess water, and allow the sponge to air dry completely before storing.
